Meet the Board: Brigid Soldavini
Originally from Bristol Connecticut, Brigid earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Central Connecticut State University in 1982. After graduating, she moved to Naples to start her family and her career.
In February 1986, Brigid started her own business, Soldavini & Caldwell CPA, PA. Her goal was to be able to work from home so she could pursue her career yet still be home to raise her two sons. As her business grew, she expanded services, hired a staff, and rented office space, still maintaining the family-first goals she set for herself and her employees.
Brigid has been involved with various local charities and nonprofit organizations, including the Naples Equestrian Challenge where she has served as the Chief Financial Officer for eight years and is currently the President of the Board of Directors. Brigid has also received various awards and honors including the local 2006 Businesswoman of the Year by the National Republican Congressional Committee, the 2006 National Leadership Award from the National Republican Congressional Committee, the 2007 Woman of Excellence from the National Association of Professional and Executive Women, and the 2011 America's Top Accountant award.
When asked why she wanted to join the Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance Board, she replied, “When I first moved to Naples back in 1983, those nasty trailers were there, and it’s hard to believe that nothing has been done about them since. I heard about the Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance and their mission to build affordable housing for migrant farmworkers and other low-income families. This group is really committed to this mission, and I knew I had to join the fight.”
We are truly honored to have Brigid as part of our Board. Thank you for everything you are doing for IFHA.
