Board Member Spotlight: David Millstein
We are thrilled to announce our newest board member, David Millstein. David brings a host of knowledge and education to Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance.
David is from Jeannette, Pennsylvania and has been a resident of Naples for over 30 years. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University. He started his law career as a staff attorney with the Federal Communications Commission and practiced until 2020 as a solo practitioner.
Millstein was the Executive Director of the Westmoreland Bar Foundation Office of Pro Bono Service’s from 2013-2020. He has received several honors and awards including –
PA Bar Foundation, Louis J. Goffman Award for outstanding pro bono services to the community, Westmoreland American Inn of Court, Ned J. Nakles Award for outstanding service, PA Bar Association, Special Achievement Award, Outstanding Pro Bono Contributions & the President’s Award received in 2023.
He was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, Civil Rights, Duquesne University School of Law, founder and director of Hugo L. Black Civil Rights Clinic and St. Vincent University, Civil Rights.
Millstein states, “I wanted to join this non-profit because it is made up of people wanting to do serious work. It’s an organization that gets things done as opposed to some who just talk and don’t get a lot accomplished. The mission of this organization is terrific, and I wanted to be a part of it.
He and his wife, Diana have three children, six grandchildren and three dogs.
